Dan Slavin has been working in the Netherlands and surrounding countries spreading the Gospel of Jesus and the fire of the Holy Spirit. He is broken over this generation who few are reaching. They are desperate for something real, and he is determined to see them raised up as radical disciples of Jesus walking in freedom, in their callings and in the power of the Spirit. He has been doing this by working with local Christians, preaching Jesus in the local schools, running a bible study for college students and international students, teaching discipleship classes, working with prayer groups and home groups and helping put on events like encounter weekends, outreaches and summer schools. Dan has also been traveling with other missionaries going in to Churches, Colleges and helping Christian events to spread a hunger and passion for God. He is believing, praying, and working toward an awesome move of God to consume Europe.
Together with Steve Bremner they co-host the Fire On Your Head podcast, an outlet for their passion as teachers and grounding people in the Word of God and helping people be released from religious and traditional bondages in the Church. Fire On Your Head is a place to hang out, not a place to fall asleep in the pew.
Steve Bremner is a FIRE School of Ministry graduate with a burden for grounding people in the Word of God, seeing believers from all sorts of walks and backgrounds live out and experience the power of the Holy Spirit in their lives and ministries.
Having ministered in Canada, the USA and now Europe, Steve has developed a heart for seeing the Church return to New Testament Christianity, and reach their culture with the Gospel. He has been working in the Netherlands since 2005. In 2006 he moved to the metropolitan city of Rotterdam to work with local FIRE grads, Frank and Bobby Pot, who’ve pioneered the Firehouse cafe–a ‘living room” away from home that serves as a positive alternative to the sex shops, marijuana coffee shops and night clubs that litter the surrounding streets.
As the tiny country of the Netherlands goes, so the rest of Europe goes–as this small country exerts much influence and often sets standards and precedents that the other countries in Europe and the West quickly follow. Steve believes that God will pour out His spirit of holiness, repentance and revival over the Netherlands and return it to its rich Christian heritage, and he desires to be a part of it.
Steve’s ministry leads him into college campuses, a local highschool, cell groups and Bible studies, and the annual FIRE for Life summer schools which change and impact peoples’ lives in a major way with motivating others towards making differences in their communities with the radical Gospel of Jesus Christ. All these things while being based primarily out of the ministry of the Firehouse. He also works closely with several other local ministries in organizing events and conferences.
