Feedback and Commenting Policy

Greetings fellow revolutionaries and world-changers.

First, thank you for listening to us, and since you’re viewing this on WordPress–thank you for visiting our podcast’s blog. Our hope and desire is that you were not merely entertained, but challenged and sharpened in the areas we believe God leads us to cover from episode to episode. Our purpose is to cover as many sacred cows as possible, and kill them.

An example of what we’re talking about: the Pharisees got on Jesus’ case for not washing his hands before eating, because that was Jewish custom, “He answered them, “And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?” (Matthew 15:3) Verse 6 says “So for the sake of your tradition you have made void the word of God.”

For those of you unfamiliar with our podcast or you stumbled across this blog and never heard one of our shows yet, Dan & Steve both desire to remove the ‘traditions of MEN” (not of God) out of as many people’s way as possible to allow the power of God to flow in them and through them. We’ve got our hands full covering different ’sacred cows’ week after week, and whether you’re a charismatic pentecostal or a calvinistic baptist, we’ll cover stuff that provokes you to think or, dare I say it, disagree with.

Which leads to the point of this page. If you’d like to communicate with us and give us any feedback, you can do so by either commenting here or sending one of us a private message, or emailing us at fireonyourhed@gmail.com, or commenting on the post you’re referring to. We take seriously every piece of feedback we get. But as a growing audience and more listeners the ball gets rolling and we start getting more feedback, and more variety of feedback, we just can’t get back to every piece of communication we get.

SO, here’s the deal. We read it. We keep it in mind, it might affect something we bring up at a future date in an episode–if it’s a relevant concern. Off-topic comments are really not of interest to us unless it’s a recommendation for future topics we should cover.  But our heart is to feed the hungry. If we provoke you by our teachings to go read and study your Bible, and you come to a different conclusion than us about something–then we still feel we did our job if we provoked you to go study your Word. Provoke literally means “make someone so mad that you do something about it”, so if we “made you” go study your Bible to disagree with us, then we were successful in provoking you to a good work.

If you leave us a Skype voicemail, or Odeo voicemail, or written communication like email, or Facebook or Myspace, blogger or WordPress comment, then bear in mind that if we like it or it’s “juicy” we might bring it up on the podcast. If you do not wish to be quoted, by name or anonymously, then please say so and we’ll respect your wishes.

If you are a self-appointed heresy hunter and you feel God has anointed you to go around correcting every false doctrine you come across — then allow us to apologize in advance for not getting back to you. But if you are hungry for more learning, we want to feed you. We want to teach the teachable, not argue with those who are certain they’re right and want to correct us. That’s why in our http://firenederland.podbean.com/ and in the posts on this site, there are links to articles and other websites on the topic of most of our shows for further study. We want to equip, and see believers both new in the Lord and solid already-mature believers to be impacted in a way that benefits your walk with God and changing the culture around you with the POWER of God, not the traditions of men.

You may be a very mature believer and believe you could cover these topics better. You probably could. Start your own podcast then. Give Steve your email address and he’ll send you a podbean.com invite and if you join them in 60 days, we will get one month free from having referred you. Everybody and their dog has a podcast these days, and we’re sure you’ll find your audience.

That being said, blessings and fire on your head, and DO what you learn.

Steve & Dan
